Grand Avenue, looking east from 74th Street.

The view has changed dramatically since this photo was taken. Most noticeably, the Brooklyn Union Gas Tanks are gone. They were dismantled in 1996. There are no more trolley tracks in the roadbed, and the Belgian blocked streets have all be asphalted over. There still is a gas station on the far left, a body shop further down the street on the left, and factory buildings on the far right. St. Adalbert Roman Catholic Church can be seen under the Texaco sign in the distance.
